It
has been shown that performance and success are greatly enhanced
by personal insights into one's strengths and weaknesses in key
dimensions of the intercultural experience. The International Leadership
Center (ILC) offers the Cultural Intelligence Survey (CQS)--an
important resource for achieving these insights--in addition to
its cross-cultural training services.
CQS
is the most theoretically based and formally studied instrument
available for this purpose. This powerful tool was developed by
collaboration of social scientists in different parts of the world.
It is used in leading universities, particularly in schools of business,
and corporations and other organizations to prepare participants
for success in cross-cultural settings.
The
self-awareness afforded by understanding one's CQ has both professional
and personal benefits. The feedback session provides immediate training
and preparation, and helps participants develop action plans to
take full advantage of strengths and improve on weaknesses.

ILC's
CQS Package has two components: the Cultural Intelligence
Survey and a resulting one-day feedback/training session.
-
CQS is a 360° assessment with a participant and five nominated
raters who know the individual. They individually provide input
via computer to a secure website set up for each client group.
This information is processed and customized reports are generated
for each participant. These reports are provided to participants
at the Feedback/Training day. Insights in the report include comparisons
to findings of extensive studies among sizable groups.
-
The one-day CQS Feedback/Training session introduces major cross-cultural
concepts, considerations in interpreting one's feedback report
and training relevant to gaining the greatest benefit from the
insights provided, including making plans for attaining objectives.
