Our Viewpoint
Capability in human communication and interaction in general is
central to one's success in endeavors and relationships. Cross-cultural
interaction is often seen as somehow separate and exotic. Whereas,
at the International Leadership Center (ILC) we work with participants
to view it as another level of skills that broadens our abilities
in perception, understanding, adaptation, and presentation for
success in these relationships.
We
interact often with people who differ culturally to some degree
from ourselves. Each experience alters our world view in some
small or great manner. ILC builds awareness skills, personal
insight, and methodologies to work more efficiently and effectively,
and to satisfaction in the experience.

Our Experience
ILC reflects the combined effort of International Business Initiatives
(IBI) and the Management Training and Development Institute (MTDI),
both with long histories of working internationally. For over
30 years, MTDI has provided workshops in a variety of management
topics with nearly all attended by a substantial mixture of nationalities,
making discussion of cross-cultural considerations a common feature.
In addition, ILC's personnel have also conducted research on cross-cultural
dimensions of operations of multi-national corporations and cross-cultural
training programs to meet needs of clients. IBI's international
consulting and training experience adds further to ILC's ability
to build the cross-cultural capabilities of participants.
